Gene Kleinhendler’s legal practice spans four decades, ranging from being an attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to founding the GKH Law Offices, one of Israel’s leading multi-service law firms, which presently comprises 170 attorneys. His practice includes cross-border enforcement and regulatory investigations by the SEC, Israeli Securities Authority, Israeli Police, U.S. Department of Justice, PCAOB, and numerous investigations of bribery and corruption, securities fraud, embezzlement, money-laundering, bank fraud, and other matters on behalf of organizations, audit committees, accounting firms, and individuals.

Representative Work:

• Advised multinational companies in the areas of pharma, defense, and agriculture on creating new compliance policies, auditing the efficiency of existing policies, and assisted with effective implementation of ABC and AML compliance.
• Advised on establishing a comprehensive third-party management program for a globally operating Israeli company. Conducted third-party mapping and risk analysis for a number of clients and remain continuously involved in resolving issues arising from specific third-party relationships.
• Advised a multinational company on risk assessment and implementation of AML compliance program across all business units.
• Represented an Israeli company with global operations and its senior executives in a criminal investigation by the U.S. enforcement agency.
• Provide ongoing advice to several largest accounting firms on issues related to confronting fraud during audit process and as part of SEC filings.
